Personalized Support

What if you could enjoy the closeness of babywearing for longer—in a way that’s comfortable for both you and your little one? You can with our ergonomic Baby Carrier One crafted in a soft cotton blend. The sturdy waist belt and padded shoulder straps relieve pressure on your back and shoulders and make babywearing possible for newborns and up to the age of three.

Baby Carrier One has built-in support for a newborn and adjustable head support that’s easy to adapt to your baby. It’s also classified as “hip-healthy” by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute, provided that it’s used according to the instructions. This means that it gives the correct support to your baby’s hips and encourages good hip joint development, which is especially important during the first months of life.

For children: 0 - 3 years / 8 - 33 lbs / 21 - 39 in

Different babywearing options
Your newborn needs a lot of closeness. At this age, it’s best to carry in the facing-in position to strengthen the bond between you; the warmth of your breath and the sound of your heartbeat are reassuring to your baby. At about the age of five months when your baby’s neck muscles are stronger, you can start carrying in the facing-out position—curious babies usually enjoy seeing what’s happening around them. When your baby is one year old, you can start carrying them on your back, which often feels more comfortable as your child grows heavier.

Baby Carrier One is available in two soft materials:

  • Baby Carrier One Air in cool 3D mesh

3D mesh is made of 100% polyester, a super-soft, flexible fabric that dries quickly after washing. This is a high-tech, breathable fabric, so it stays pleasantly cool when you’re babywearing. The tactile qualities of our 3D mesh enhance the closeness between you and your baby, and the high quality of the fabric ensures that the baby carrier retains its shape, wash after wash.
  • Baby Carrier One in a soft cotton blend

Our soft and flexible cotton blend is 60% cotton and 40% polyester. The Baby Carrier One in Beige/Leopard is made of 100 % cotton. The baby carrier’s lining is made of 100% cotton, and the padding is made of polyester and PU foam.

Unique fabrics developed for BABYBJÖRN
Since our fabrics are such an important part of our textile products, we develop the majority of our fabrics in-house. This allows us to assure high and consistent quality and ensure that the fabrics offer the unique properties we require.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Class 1 for baby products
All materials that come in contact with your child’s skin meet the requirements of OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Class 1 for baby products. This means that they’re kind to your baby’s skin and safe to taste. So, there’s no need to wash the baby carrier before you start using it.

Washing instructions
No matter which material you choose, Baby Carrier Mini is machine washable on warm. It should be washed separately and should not be tumble dried. Please use a mild, eco-certified detergent and strictly follow the dosing instructions. If you have a baby carrier in 3D mesh, do not use fabric softener since it will impair the quality of the fabric.
